LANDMARK MEN & HYPEBEAST Bring Daniel Cordas’ Street-art Inspired Wisdom to Hong Kong

Hong Kong, 13 October 2017 – This October, LANDMARK MEN is collaborating with HYPEBEAST to bring street-art inspired custom artist Daniel Cordas to Hong Kong. The talented young Brit, most famous for his incredible hand-painted sneakers that have been seen on the feet of a host of global celebrities, will create a unique series of one-off products in an exhibition from now until 29th October 2017 at Shop B21, LANDMARK MEN in LANDMARK ATRIUM.

This event marks the continued celebration of LANDMARK’s year-long campaign ‘A Year of Wisdom’. LANDMARK MEN harnesses Daniel’s street-art inspired Wisdom to showcase cutting-edge creative and inspiring experiences with an exhibition combining design, culture, street fashion and urban style. This collaboration is just one of many ways in which LANDMARK is redefining shopping experiences for the modern savvy gentleman.

Daniel Cordas’ collaboration with LANDMARK MEN is themed around the four elements: earth, water, fire and air. Through these four elemental themes, Daniel intends to remind us of the Wisdom of the basic and fundamental things in life. He will create beautiful artworks showing the natural beauty of the world, drawing on inspiration such as the sky, clouds and the sea as well as beautiful landscapes or the power of fire. These four elements draw on different connotations of colour and art, with deep warm tones leading all the way to ice cold blues.

Daniel’s passion for sneakers and talent for art combined to make him the UK’s premier customiser of sneakers and other accessories. He started out by posting pictures of his incredible hand-painted pairs of sneakers on Instagram (@danielcordas) where he quickly caught the attention of fashionistas and celebrities around the world. Last summer his sneakers customisation pop up store at Harrods was a huge success; since then he has decorated trainers for a host of celebrities including boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and rappers Stormzy and Chipmunk.

At the exhibition, Daniel will customise ten items with the theme of the four elements as inspiration which will be available to purchase during the period. There will be three pairs of sneakers on show – a pair each of Adidas Yeezy 350 Pirate Black, Nike Jordan 1 and Vans Old Skool – and Daniel will also bring his magic to clothing and accessories from LANDMARK MEN tenants including a David Beckham sweater from Kent & Curwen, a Tumi V3 carry-on suitcase, an envelope bag in calf leather from Tod’s, a Paul & Shark Badge Jacket, an umbrella from The Armoury and a Neil Barrett bomber jacket.
Daniel will customise six additional pairs of sneakers for LANDMARK customers, of which two will be giving away to LANDMARK app users during the evening of boutique boulevard, and the other four will be available for purchase during the exhibition period at LANDMARK MEN.

Daniel will also produce a crossover tee to mark his collaboration with LANDMARK MEN. These limited-edition tees will be available for redemption for LANDMARK app users on a first-come, first-served basis. Details will be announced shortly on LANDMARK website.
