Hong Kong, 1st  November 2023 – Celebrating the best of culinary mastery in Hong Kong, LANDMARK’s Tasting Mastery Season, hosted in collaboration with Centurion from American Express, is already underway with a successful first wave of gastronomic collaborations between LANDMARK’s finest restaurants and a line-up of world-class, award-winning restaurants.

Following the success of the inaugural event, the celebration is continuing with more exciting highlights from LANDMARK’s dining establishments, featuring an exclusive art-meets-cuisine experience for added surprise and delight, as well as a host of LANDMARK-exclusive dishes available throughout the duration of the celebratory month.

From 1st to 30th November, eight fine-dining establishments at LANDMARK will present a special evening of art-meets-cuisine, where three renowned international contemporary visual artists have designed limited-edition collectible crockery to be featured alongside a special tasting menus designed and crafted by award-winning chefs.

The special art crossover menus will be offered at Ami, China Tang, Grand Majestic Sichuan, Kaen Teppanyaki, L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, The Merchants, Somm, and Zuma. Through an exclusive art and cuisine experience, guests dining at these eight restaurants during the month of November can collect a limited-edition plate as a souvenir.

Featured Artworks By 3 Renowned Contemporary Artists: James Jarvis, Jean Jullien, and Yoon Hyup

Celebrated and best known for his signature Sphere cartoon character, London-native artist and skateboard aficionado James Jarvis channels his flair for street art in his contemporary art pieces. His art piece featured on the limited-edition crockery plate is named “Mosh Pit”, the expressive collision of dancing bodies filled with colours — a signature style of Jarvis.

With inspiration from 1950s French poster art and Japanese comics, French illustrator Jean Jullien will present “Baker’s Bio” on his limited-edition plate. Inspired by the rich food and culinary culture in his native France, Jullien’s sketch depicts an artist sketching with a French baguette, expressing the witty humour of his artistic style.

Self-taught New York-based painter Yoon Hyup delights the art world with his minimalistic landscape paintings of worldly cities. With jazz improvisation driving his ever-vivid imagination, he presents “The Mirror #4” of his Urban Nightscape series, where Hong Kong’s world-famous skyline and its iconic LANDMARKs are traced out in colourful dots and lines — the building blocks of Hyup’s works.
